Range and Volume of Services
Sunbeam House, a voluntary charitable organisation, delivers a wide range of
services to adults diagnosed with intellectual disability. Services are provided
at 30 centres located throughout Co. Wicklow and south Co. Dublin. Programmes
are tailored to meet the individual choices of clients in our care, and this
choice is afforded to them with our quality system ‘Personal Outcomes’.
The quality system is sponsored by The Council on Quality and Leadership, Maryland,
U.S.A., and Sunbeam House is the first organisation in Ireland to receive this
independently validated accreditation.
Clients in our care have a range of needs which vary and change with age and
progress. These needs vary from day-care services, residential services, sheltered
employment services, supported employment, and special care requirements. Referrals
to our services come from the Health Service Executive (HSE).
